Pilates & Yoga – RYT 200
Laurie is a recreation therapist certified to teach yoga and Pilates. She has been practicing yoga for 15 years. She completed her 200 hour yoga training at Naked Truth Yoga; Mat Pilates certification at Physical Mind Institute Canada; and has completed training to support people dealing with body image issues (Eat, Breathe, Thrive; Yoga Outreach and Yoga for Round Bodies).
Strengthening from the inside out, intentional movement, connection to the breath and taking yoga off the mat and into daily life are areas of interest and part of Laurie’s personal practice.
She uses yoga to help clients achieve a healthy mind-body-breath connection. Her specialized yoga training supports people dealing with body-image issues, helping them redefine their relationship with their body and increase self-esteem.
