Karen Wardrop is an ACE certified personal trainer with a certification in THE METHOD Pilates and FOUNDATION Restorative Yoga. She trains clients from her home studio in Fraser Heights where she applies a teaching style that is respectful, encouraging and caring for all body types no matter the fitness level.
In the past eight years Karen has been passionate about pilates and its ability to improve core strength, increase muscle tone, help you stand taller and look leaner. Empowering bodies safely through strength, flexibility and self-acceptance is the foundation of her teaching and brings her the greatest joy.
In her free time she is kept busy by her three beautiful daughters and three dogs. She has a zest for life and a great love for family, animals and the outdoors. Karen often cares for exotic birds that her and her daughters foster till a new home is found. She loves to walk, bike, hike and camp. She can’t ever really get enough of any outdoor activity.
Kids Program Instruction: Karen has always had a passion for working with children of all ages. Karen’s past career was as a multi-sensory tutor. She was trained to use all senses to re-mediate reading, writing and spelling in children with learning differences. By creating a safe environment and the use of sight, sound, hearing and touch, she was able to use the students strengths to weaken the disability.
This past career prepared her to create a fun, sensory approach to kids yoga classes where the sky is the limit! Karen believes in a loving, positive environment where children feel safe to grow in every way possible.
She is very excited to draw on her past skills to work with the youngest yogi’s!!
